Ingredients
- Gram flour / Besan - 2 cups
- Rice flour - 2 heaping tbsp
- Onions / Potatoes - 2 big
- Red chili pwdr - 1 tsp
- Ginger & garlic paste - half tsp
- Baking powder- a quater tsp
- Turmeric pwdr - half tsp
- Pepper pwdr - half tsp
- Salt
- Oil for frying
Method
- Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl (except onion / potatoes and oil).
- Add enough water to make a thick batter. Cut onions / potatoes in to thin slices.
- Heat oil in a wok. Dip onion / potato slices in the batter and deep fry them in oil on medium to low flame until golden brown.
Enjoy hot bajjis with tomato ketchup.
